We here at ZonedHost are continuing to expand and grow as a business all of the time. In order to continue to offer the greatest possible service, we need to continually upgrade our hardware and network facilities. The time has come to undertake a series of upgrades over the coming weeks. We will be upgrading the Shared Hosting node from RHEL5 to RHEL6, bringing associated bug fixes and improvements in speed and optimisation. Furthermore, we will be able to offer VPS's with x64 Architecture for the first time in our history on OpenVZ. This will allow us to also offer Kernel support for newer Ubuntu/Debian Distributions in both x86 and x64.
To add to this, we will be offering instant setup for all our new VPS orders and a new improved VPS Portal. Customers will be able to view stats on Bandwidth, Storage, RAM e.t.c... all via the billing panel and infiltrate backups and restarts from there. Customers will also have access to a SolusVM Panel (Replacing the current HyperVM System) with the same features as HyperVM and more. New login details will be provided to all of our customers once the switch over is complete.
What do you need to do?
Backup your data. Obviously, we plan for a smooth transient migration. However, issues can occur so please backup your data. Most of all; be patient. Migrations can vary in time and there will be as minimal amount of downtime as possible. But, we will be migrating IP address's across servers.
What does it mean for you?
We will continue to offer the best service possible for even longer. All host's need to adapt with new technology and server demands. This is our time to upgrade our current hardware. All you need to do is relax and watch the improvements as they happen.
